Green Chrome Diopside Necklace

32 inch necklace with smooth graduated chrome diopside gems. The plain nuggets measure 8x6 up to 14x10mm in size. These slightly asymmetric shapes have good polish with a vitreous lustre. They are translucent with a dark green color. These gems are rare, large and richly hued. The smooth dioxide nuggets alternate with smaller faceted chrome dioxide rondelles and gold-filled round beads. Gold-filled toggle clasp.
